The LaFollette Boys Cross Country team has had quite a stretch of success in recent years.  In 2006 the Lancers were undefeated and picked up a City Championship, Conference Championship and LaFollette's first Division One State title.

In 2007 they followed that up by going undefeated again and capping an exciting run at the State Meet where they scored 44pts!!! A State Record in the modern era.
LDC set this record by getting ALL their runners in before everyone else's THIRD runner.

In the spring of 2009 Alex Brill won the Divison One 3200m State Title!!

Elliot Enright holds the 800m school record.  He was the Division One State Champion in the 800m in 2002 when Madison LaFollette won the State Title in track and field.
On the girls side, one can't forget, Eight time Big Eight Champion, Karen Greuel.
Karen capped her senior year off with a 1600m State title running 4:57.78 in Lacrosse.  She currently holds all THREE distance School Records.

In 2011, Chandler Diffee made his mark by capping
off his Junior year by winning City, Conference, and then the Division I STATE TITLE!!!  He becomes LaFollette's first Individual State Champion in Cross Country.  He also qualified and ran at Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon that fall!!!

Then in 2015 and 2016 came Finn Gessner.  He now holds our school record with a blistering 14:39 run at NXR.  He won back to back STATE TITLES!!  And if that was not enough he was Runner up at FOOTLOCKER in San Diego.  He had the lead until about 70m to go.  On the track he was STATE CHAMP in the 3200m in 2016.  In 2017 he blasted a 8:47 3200m at Arcadia‚Äč

Not too many schools can claim to have TWO different athletes win the Individual State Title in the modern era at Ridges.  Not bad for a program that barely ever gets over 30 athletes.
